初の包括的なSugar開発者向け書籍(洋書)が発売!

SugarCRMのエンジニアであるJohn Mertic氏による、「The Definitive Guide to SugarCRM: Better Business Applications」がApressから発刊された。

書籍の内容

SugarCRMで、モジュール開発やカスタマイズを行うための、開発者向け書籍。MVCフレームワークから、認証などなど、今までになく開発者向け。バランス良くまとまっていて、SugarCRM開発の学習にあたって、現状ベストな書籍と言える。Sugar全般のトピックを網羅的に扱っているため、ページ数に対してサンプルコードは少なめ。この本を羅針盤に、SugarCRMのソースコードにあたると良いだろう。

Sugar開発の経験者にとっても、Sugar 5.5の情報は有益。また、今までの手法の「答え合わせ」的な読み方もできる。
